I’ve always been amazed by the street art you find across SF and other places. Some of it is really amazing and beautiful. I would like to try and learn how. Of course, I wouldn’t do it on public property. I’m only 16 and I don’t want to end up in trouble. I’m thinking I would probably use big paper or wood to spray on. Still, I cannot find where to learn how. I did a search, and all I really got was how to REMOVE the paint. Does anyone know where I can learn to do this? I promise, I won’t vandalize someone’s property.
Thanks!
The best way to learn is hands on. No one can really teach you how to paint, but people can give tips and techniques. To paint well and gain the control requires that you practice. I don’t recommend painting large paper. It will seep through. You a solid surface. I’m not insinuating that you paint a building.
When you’re 16, an under-aged minor. It’s really hard to persist in an activity that everyone will try to discourage you to do. Also it’s hard to obtain paint, and if you even hold paint it’s considered a crime. If you love art and creation, just try to stay involved with it as much as possible. There are plenty of non-profit organizations that will support you and nourish your skills.
When I was around that age. I painted wooden panels in my backyard. Later I ended up painting secluded spots far away, far from trouble. Some spots were risky. I then snuck out at night to be a little more safe and far from the risk of getting caught. At night I would paint visible spots because it was a lot different in the day time. I faced and embraced the fact that I was an addicted "bomber". You don’t even want to know how I obtained paint.
Anywhere in the area of graffiti art will invite trouble no matter how legal you’d like to keep it.
I thought the Olympics was supposed to be a competition of the world’s best AMATEUR athletes. Why are there so many pro athletes in it now then? I think this takes away from the whole idea of the olympics.
It goes back to hockey and basketball and the "Cold War". The Soviets were putting there drugged up super droids in competition and the only way to compete was to put pros in the mix.
i would like to take ballet. what supplies do i need (in particular shoes) to start? and are the shoes expensive?
You will start with ballet slipper or flats or shoes whichever you prefer (name wise)
Go to discountdancesupply.com
or dancedistributors.com
or allaboutdance.com they have cheap shoes and other ballet suplies you will need
You will need:
ballet slipper
leotard, usually the studio prefers black
pink ballet tights
and if you want legwarmers, a shrug or a wrapskirt
also with your ballet slipper there are a few different options
split sole- i prefer this, i can get onto a higher releve (which is good) and have more freedom to dance in
full sole- i don’t like this as much, restrict your releves
Canvas- i prefer this, you can wash it when it gets dirty and and fits to your food right away
leather- you cannot wash these, but it wil slowly start to fit the shape of your foot perfectly much better than canvas but for the first while they are loose and dont fit well usually
I would also recommend getting them professionally fitted for your first time since sometimes you have to get a street size up or a couple down,( the sizes are wacky) and if you get the wrong size it become very uncomfortable and bad for your feet, especially if you ahve narrow or wide feet you should get it specialized for that (and that’s free btw)
also there are many different barnds: capezio, bloch, leos, i personally i have sansha which i quite like.
also same with a leotard- go to your local dance store to try on a few, the bigger the store the more options*
hope this helped :]
have fun dancing!!!!
I’m trying to work out a halloween costume, and I really want to wear a funky wig – like today I saw a long purple one for instance. Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn’t have to be directly halloween related – could just be general fancy dress.
Wigs really can make the costume …

I tend to think that people who really listen to music listen for the ability to relate to a song. I listen to Country, Christian and, and some old time rock and roll because I really feel that these songs hit the closest to home. They mesh with my core values. Do you think that the way you vote has anything to do with the music you enjoy. I mean do you believe that they complete each other well? Please tell me your favorite music and your political affliliation. And if you feel they blend well together?
I love to listen to all kinds of rock. My favorite band is the manic street preachers. They are a socialist band and very liberal but I am a conservative. I love their music even though I may not agree on their political stance.
i want to teach my dog to do a back flip and on video on youtube said to play Flower Waltz and i don’t know where to find it so if you could help me that would be GREAT!!!
Thank You!
Well you find that record on a walk. You can also teach you dog back flip without the record.
Here is how to do it.
First teach your dog sit. Then teach it Jump. Once you dog can sit for 6 seconds straight, and your dog can jump constantly, you combine them and your dog does a back flip.
*just remember to not pet your dog after it sits, just immediately say jump and it will sometimes back flip*
♥Hope this helps
We all have those little signature moves that we use to hook someone. Whether it’s getting a guy to ask for your number, or landing a second date, what are some of those little tricks you use to get what you want? Guys, feel free to answer too!
Oh, and my signature move is my smirk. It’s hard to explain, but when they see it, it works every time. Hehe ;D
I talk. I’m a foreign exchange student… we don’t really NEED to flirt — either we’re ignored because we can’t really talk (fair enough) or the simple fact that we are foreign means we don’t have to do anything at all to have people start hitting on us. (Unless we are ugly, I guess, but I don’t really know any ugly exchange students.) I don’t honestly think I have a signature move, actually. I can’t think of anything that isn’t totally generic-sounding. But then I’m only 18, so I’ve got time to develop one.
Haha, when I was like 15 my thing was to announce how cold my hands were to whoever I had my eye on, so they’d then grab my hand for a second to see. Dunno HOW exactly that worked, but it was surprisingly effective. But at 15, my friends and I were just having fun kissing people, it wasn’t serious or anything. And so was everyone else, so it really was just a matter of figuring out who was kind of into you (in a they-would-hook-up-with-me way) and then just making it happen (if you wanted to, which we usually did, because I think at 15 you’re still sort of proving to yourself that you might actually really be an attractive person that people actually are interested in after the confusion of middle school).
I am going to start to learn to play the electric guitar after Christmas (self-teaching). Where can I see the chords or songs to base my learning off of?
Casey…. If you have no prior music training, I suggest you find a qualified guitar instructor. You may be able to teach yourself, but there are things that you just cant learn from a book or on your own. You probably should start with an acoustic then progress to the electric, but that is just a matter of opinion. What is important is that you invest in a guitar that is of good to excellent quality. Please don’t try to learn with one of those k-mart or wal-mart pieces of sh!t. They really fret hard and cause extremely sore fingers, and will do nothing but discourage you from learning.Go to a music shop and pick one out with the help of a professional. Get one that will stay in tune longer than after the first strum on it.
How can a person qualify and participate in the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition?
I’m writing a short story and it’s critical that I have this little piece of information. Thank you.
To compete in the International Chopin Competition, you first have to win the National Competition (see the link below for entry details).
This is for the US National Competition; I suspect that other countries have their own national competitions (where the winners go on to compete internationally.)
I have a project to do for class about Latin America, and we have to bring visuals. Any ideas what I should bring?
Maybe the Fortuna Volcanoe http://www.monteverdeinfo.com/arenal-volcano-photos.htm
