Teleprompter Training Tip #28: The Finished Produc

Okay . . . so your presentation is finished and it’s time to see how well it went.

The first emotion you’ll have looking at the playback is vanity. No need to fuss yourself about this – it’s a perfectly natural reaction and happens to everyone.

You’ll probably think you look and sound a trifle weird. This is perfectly normal for a very basic reason. The usual view you have of yourself is an image reflected in a mirror, not how the world really sees you. It can be off putting at first to see your left side where you’re accustomed to seeing your right side and vice versa.

Camera angles can fool you. Some angles could even have you believing you look a bit overweight or even unwell.

Becoming a polished presenter means casting a critical eye back over your presentation. Critical but not with a negative view. Play back your performance and correct any awkward habits or mannerisms.

Don’t split hairs here. Your concern is to give a sincere, polished performance.

They say the truth is reflected in the eyes. Are you fixated by the scrolling texts or making a dull, boring delivery? Are you moving around? Are you loosing eye contact?

It’s all about getting an appreciation of your own performance. More importantly, do you look like you believe what you are saying?

When you are ready to bring your presentations in-house, use professional teleprompter software . . . it will make a huge difference to the success of your production.
