How would an increase in competition affect economic efficiency?

Posted by admin on February 15th, 2010 and filed under competition | 4 Comments »

I realise that it would increase it (e.g. Perfect competition vs Monopoly) however what specific points can be made?

More competition, the more the consumers benefit and buisness have to do there best. Thats why capitalism suceeds.

How to calm nerves before dance competition?

Posted by admin on February 5th, 2010 and filed under competition | 3 Comments »

I have a dance competition next weekend and usually, I get really nervous. How do I calm my nerves? Thanks!

Burn off your extra adrenaline right before you perform. (jumping jacks, running around) Get your heart rate up first then take some deep breaths to slow it down. Go out and have a great show!

How do you beat out the competition for an overly competitive apartment?

Posted by admin on January 29th, 2010 and filed under competition | 1 Comment »

So, I’m in the running for the most fantastic steal of an apartment.
I need to get it.
What can I say or do to make me stand out from the competition?

Aside from stellar credit and great income, come being very clean and presentable, and make sure your car is too. I always take a peak at the car, you can tell a lot about someones cleanliness by their car.

What is a good lead guitar song to play for talent competition?

Posted by admin on January 18th, 2010 and filed under competition | 6 Comments »

I have been playing electric for about 9 years and want to get you opinion on a good, impressive instrumental lead guitar song for a school competition.
Looking for something a little different from canon rock and satriani, but any suggestions welcome :)

Summer Presto by Antonio Vivaldi. It’s traditionally played on violins, but here’s a link to a performance using guitars (and yes, it’s SUMMER PRESTO, not "presto from summer" or whatever they titled it as):

I would advise against attempting it unless you’re already rather proficient with fast lead, but it’s absolutely beautiful.

What practical shooting competition class does the Glock 17, and the Walther p99 fall into?

Posted by admin on January 15th, 2010 and filed under competition | 1 Comment »

I want to get into practical shooting. I don’t own any semi auto handguns I’m most interested in a G17 or p99 (9mm). I want my new pistol to be for home defense as well as competition, Please tell me what class those two guns fall under. If you have any other suggestions for pistols that would be good for defense/carry/competition, let me know! Thanks you for your time.

The Glock 17 and Walter P99 both are listed on the USPSA Production Gun List so they can used in stock trim in the production division. The Glock 17, 19 and 34 all are listed on the Production Gun List.

The Glock 34 is designed for competition and can easily be used for defense, but the longer barrel would make it harder to carry concealed. If you have no issue concealing the Glock 17, go with that model.

How do you do your hair for a cheerleading competition?

Posted by admin on January 2nd, 2010 and filed under competition | 5 Comments »

I have never been in a competition before so i really need help figuring out a hairstyle!!!! Please help before Friday!

Ask your coach. But most people have theirs curled. Like the night before put you’re hair in a pony tail while it’s wet and put curlers in and a bandanna over the curlers so you don’t mess them up. Then the morning of the competition take your curlers out and if some are messed up use a curling iron to fix it. And once you’re done just top it off with some hairspray!

How can I enter a poetry competition, that’s free to enter?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under competition | 4 Comments »

I’ve wrote an amazing poem, and I want to submit it to a poetry competition. But i don’t know how to go about it, does anybody have any ideas. The competition has to be free to enter, and based in the UK, thanks!

My local library has leaflets about a free poetry competition. It is run by United Press Limited in London, UK. The closing date is June 30th. It is open to UK residents of all age groups. 250 winners will be published in the next National Poetry Anthology and receive a free copy. One lucky winner will also receive £1000. For more information go to www.unitedpress.co.uk

What ever happened to the Olympics being an amateur competition? Why is it full of pro athletes now?

Posted by admin on December 19th, 2009 and filed under competition | 7 Comments »

I thought the Olympics was supposed to be a competition of the world’s best AMATEUR athletes. Why are there so many pro athletes in it now then? I think this takes away from the whole idea of the olympics.

It goes back to hockey and basketball and the "Cold War". The Soviets were putting there drugged up super droids in competition and the only way to compete was to put pros in the mix.

How do you enter the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition?

Posted by admin on December 16th, 2009 and filed under competition | 1 Comment »

How can a person qualify and participate in the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition?

I’m writing a short story and it’s critical that I have this little piece of information. Thank you.

To compete in the International Chopin Competition, you first have to win the National Competition (see the link below for entry details).

This is for the US National Competition; I suspect that other countries have their own national competitions (where the winners go on to compete internationally.)

What’s the best milk to chug in a milk chugging competition?

Posted by admin on December 11th, 2009 and filed under competition | 6 Comments »

My friends have challenged me to a milk chugging competition, and the rules are the same, except we can choose the type of milk we chug. I’ve heard that Fat Free is the best, but some people are saying Whole milk is better because it’s more dense and will stay in the stomach longer. What type of milk should I choose?

Lol Breast Milk. XD
