Make it realistic. Don’t say "we will sign CC, Sheets, Peavey, Teixiera, and K-Rod." No one will get all of those players. Make your expectations/predictions realistic.
I expect my team to trade Street, resign Ellis, and maybe make a couple of minor moves.
The Marlins will have to cut payroll but bringing more defense and speed to this team is a help, keep a few starting pitchers and cut the home run-strikeout players. Believe me, cutting payroll is needed to actually make the Marlins better.

red sox- look for a pitcher like sheets or cc or maybe k-rod and move papelbon to the rotation, then they need another bat maybe dump v-tex and look for a big power guy to replace manny. it hink next year they will probably win 85 games lose the division to the rays and probably get the wild card again and thats it

Cardinals. Need help in the bullpen but I don’t expect them to sign anyone worth keeping. I have no confidence in the new GM. He was afraid ti trade a prospect for help this past season when we had a chance to win. Why will he do any better now. Also I don’t expect the ownership to open the purse string enough to get anyone worth keeping.

I think the Red Sox will trade Lugo for a minor leaguer. They will trade prospects Michael Bowden(SP), Daniel Bard(Reliever/closer potential) and top outfield prospect Josh Reddrick to the Padres for Jake Peavy.

My Yankees will probably trade away Giambi, Abreu, and Matsui for at least one good pitcher and better bats. They should put Joba in the rotation and give away Pettite for a better pitcher like Sheets or A.J Burnett. They should also get a guy like Teixera or Orlando Hudson.

I expect the A’s to (this is what I think, but I’m not sure if it will happen), The A’s trade, Embree, Emil Brown, Street, and possibly Crosby, possibly Ellis but hopefully not, and possibly Duchscherer but I really hope not. Maybe some trades for some power hitters or a few pitchers. Possibly look for a 3rd baseman since Chavez is hurt. Go A’s! =]
Good question. Here’s a star =]

I expect that the Red Sox will be in the market for a new catcher. IF they’re smart, they’ll keep Tek around for a little while to help the new and younger pitchers and to help the catchers with the signs and the game-calling. I don’t know who they’ll sign though.

I think the jays won’t go after cc but will attempt to resign burnett but fail
they will trade b.j ryan (aka bl0w j0b ryan) for some hitting or starting pitching.
trade away lyle overbay and move lind or snider to 1st base
then sign a bat, there were rumours of manny but aubrey huff, ibanez are realistic options.

Jays- They get more busy unlike the other except the Raptors as well to get more accusations. I think they will do one thing that will be ok and trade B.J Ryan or blow-it all Ryan to some other team for a rookie or something that (that’s what they did with Eckstein.) They won’t do anything big, they just sit back and do nothing.

The Boston will probably just get their injured players back and make a move on who’s gonna start on the outfield. Plus have a steady line-up filled

So you’re an A’s fan, I want the Phils trading for Huston Street. They have a good bullpen but it could be better. As a Phillies fan, I want Burrell out of Philly, sign Manny or Crawford. Crawford unlikely, but they’re the only good outfielders. The rotation needs another good arm, we could not live a year with Kendrick or Happ, but young Carlos Carrasco is on the way!

My team is the BoSox
if they lose tonight
they will
A Drop Julio lugo
B Sign Ben Sheets
C Maybe sign Texeria and move Youkie Back to 3rd
D Mikie Lowell will call it quits
F Give Bay an extention
if they win tonight they will
A Drop Julio Lugo
B Sign Bay to an extention
C sign Cezar Extures and move Lowrie to 3rd
F Mikie Lowell will retire
PS if you think they will sign K-Rod you’re crazy they have Papelbon
and he is the BEST closer in the game

The Brewers have to sign a manager before the series ends. I would suggest Jose Oquendo. Until thats done they cant do much of anything. Then they need a second baseman.
Wall-Mart just needs to spend some money on the Cardinals instead of dicking around with the ballpark village, which Downtown St. Louis will never see but has paid for. Same deal they teamed up with George Bush to rip off Dallas/Ft. Worth.

We will sign C–oh, sorry.
Truth is , the Rangers should shy away from ruining another good right-handed pitcher’s career in our ballpark. (Kevin Milwood – if you want to say he was good) The Rangers should try to bring in another young arm like Matt Cain or Zack Grienke or try for a young/polished/proven
left-handed pitcher.
IF some team offers a package of minor leaguers for Mike Young (a good package like the Teixera to Atlanta trade)…TAKE IT.
Build around Kinsler and Josh and continue developing hitters like always, AND keep a close eye on two young standout pitchers Derek Holland and Neftali Feliz.
(If the A’s will take Thomas Diamond, Steve Murphy, and Jose Vallejo for Houston, give me BB’’s number..lol)

I expect my team (Rockies) to:
- Not resign Podsednik. We have a surplus of quality outfielders on the team and in the farm system and it is said that he complains about not getting to start more often.
- Trade Torrealba if they can. Chris Iannetta is pretty much def. going to be our starting catcher and they’re paying Yorvit an awful lot to be a back up.
- Trade Taveras
- Not resign Fuentes. They should, but probably don’t have the money/don’t want to spend the money to resign him when other teams will be offering.
- And unfortunately I think either Atkins or Holliday will be traded. More likely Holliday, who would be a FA at the end of 09, because he has Scott Boras as an agent and if he keeps him, well the Rockies don’t have the money, even if they wanted to spend it, to answer to what that agent wants people to pay his clients. And Atkins? Well Ian Stewart has really shown himself to be an excellent third baseman, if Helton is going to be getting healthy to play next season, will Rockies want to trade away Atkins if they plan on Stewart being the future at 3b?
- I don’t know that they WILL, but they SHOULD bring in a top notch pitcher who already has proven his stuff at the big league level. We will see Jimenez for a long time to come – he has the stuff and has really matured as a pitcher in the second half. He will only continue to get better and more consistent. An injury-free Francis will come back pitching more like 07 than 08. And Cook is a good stable presence – both on the mound and as a part of the team in general. But the 4 and 5 spots have been playing musical pitchers. And I don’t see the sense in filling both spots with young pitchers who haven’t had the experience – Jimenez is still growing so they really need another established, proven pitcher in the rotation.

With the Indians, they will look for bullpen help and I think they try to resign Casey Blake because Marte did not cut it at third and I am not sure they truly want Peralta at third though they have talked about it. And no – I don’t see them making any real effort to sign CC. I could see them maybe getting Huston Street. I seriously hope they dump Dellucci. I can’t stand seeing him anymore and when his entrance song was the Godfather theme that just had me wanting to roll in the aisles.

I expect them to resign Hudson, and trade some of the pitchers in our bullpen. If they were to make a big move I would expect them getting rid of Bob Melvin. I don’t see any big off season moves though.

I expect the Rangers to get some pitching. Build your team around Kinsler, Hamilton, and Young. Trade at least one of their catchers that have trade value for pitching. i’m thinking greinke or cain. we can trade an outfielder too because we have a bunch of them too like murphy or boggs. trade prospects like andrus and smoak for pitching to if you keep blalock. sign bradley to multi-year extension so he can be a clean-up hitter behind hamilton. and keep feliz and holland for developing.

I think the Braves will make a move to get Peavy. Weather they get him or not I don’t know. Hopefully they will. He is a great pitcher. I think getting a good if not great starting pitcher is there number 1 goal this off-season. Another thing I think they will look into is relief pitching and a good CF.
