I live in Wisconsin, and the winters here get really bad and snowy. I am a freshman in high school and I don’t know what kinds of shoes to wear but still look good but not get a lot of snow in my shoes.

1st thing that came to mind was uggs, but if they kill animals then thats just not cool nowadays, besides they seem like more of an indoor shoe to me, or at least not for snow and rain, you would probably have to water proof them or something, personally ive never been a fan of uggs especially for guys.
2nd thing that came to mind would be timberlands but they are not really insulated, more of a fashion boot, again im not sure about the waterproofing.
There was this boot that was really popular that all the snowboarders would wear, called "sorel" http://www.sorel.com -i would go with those. also you might see what boots other outdoor/ snowboard companies carry, like burton, northface, colombia, etc. good luck
or you can get some cheap ass ones for the first week of school, see what everyone else is wearing, and go boot shopping that weekend. – everybody wants to fit in, in high school, even though its way cooler to be your own person and not care what others think – making friends is a good thing, but not if they are the kind who judge you on your boots.

Ugg boots are really popular. I see people even wearing them when there’s no snow
They’re a little pricey, but there are knock-offs. People wear them with dresses & skirts. For pants, clogs are good, or another slimmer boot.

just get u some a sweet pair of jordan’s and buy u some insulated socks.the shoes will look cool ,and nobody will see your socks,and u will keep your feet warm.and all of u that are talking about killing animals,are u a vegetarian,if not ,meat company’s kill animals too!!

I <3 my Uggs. Just make sure you waterproof them once a month or so. The spray comes in the box. They are kind of spendy but you can very easily find fake ones (I like to call them Fuggs lol) and they look almost I identical.
